Sophic Introduces Its New Site That Showcases Enticing Video, Photo, Blog, Slides & Email Marketing Tools Available To Their Customers

DENVER - January 6, 2008 - Sophic today unveiled their newly designed website that showcases its services, portfolio and profile using the same robust technologies it deploys for its customers.  The updated site is interconnected with media-rich social sites such as Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Picasa, LinkedIn, FriendFeed and MySpace.

“We’ve developed a new site that allows clients to envision these technologies being used to move their business forward even in a tough economy,” said Steven Harrell, Sophic’s CEO.  “They can see the benefit of being able to push and pull content back and forth with their customers through their website, social networks, search engines and mobile devices such as the iPhone.”

Sophic leverages capabilities from years of research and experience in developing sites like the new sophic.net.  It is built so that the media and text can be used not only on its website, but repackaged and redistributed across the Internet with a minimum amount of effort.  This not only causes each new asset to become more valuable, but also lowers the cost of marketing outreach efforts.

Video To Go
The new sophic.net is packed with video.  The videos, all under 5 minutes, are designed so that viewers can quickly grasp how their services work and the business benefits that they bring.  The videos were produced in High Definition (HD) and deliver crystal clear resolution.  They are distributed on YouTube’s new HD platform and can be embedded into websites, blogs and social networks in the high quality format.  YouTube also automatically adjusts the video output based on the viewer’s connection.

“We chose the HD format because it is the right time,” explained JR Harrell, Sophic’s Operations Manager.  “Everyone is moving to HD not only because a critical mass has been reached with both the technology and audience, but because it delivers compelling content.”

Running the latest Apple hardware and software, Sophic is able to easily, quickly and economically convert the HD video for other platforms.  For example, the video is distributed to their iTunes podcast “Market Your Business Online.”  This puts them in touch with millions of iTunes users on Macs, PC’s, iPhones and iPods.

The podcast is dynamically fed from their website to iTunes and other podcast sites.  This is very efficient because they only have to upload the video once for it to be delivered to multiple sites.

Get The Picture
The site is able to maintain its minimalist design through the use of carefully chosen and eloquently delivered photo images.

“We want to create the biggest impact with the least amount of effort for our viewers,” said Steven Harrell.  “The site is designed with mobile viewers in mind, so it had to be thoughtful in its design.”

The photo framework is built around sliders, slideshows and easy slide popups.  This allows the viewer to scan through images and pages in a manner that is similar to an iPod experience.

The vast array of photos pull from from their highly extensible Wordpress content management system and photo sites such as Picasa.  This approach delivers the same management and distribution efficiencies as their video strategy: upload once, distribute everywhere.

Social Mobility
Like many other businesses, Sophic has paid attention to the growing success of the iPhone.  The site is built so that it not only loads quickly for iPhone users, but so that they are also able to experience the video, photos and audio.

The site is not only built for iPhone consumption, but is also produced with iPhones.

“Since our work is never done and always with us, we enjoy mobile blogging,” admits JR Harrell.  “We upload blog stories with photo and audio from our iPhones over both 3G and Wi-Fi networks.”

They company also uses their iPhone to create content on social network sites such as Twitter and Facebook that are then pulled into their website.

“Stay tuned for a version of sophic.net that is built specifically for the iPhone,” said Steven Harrell.
