Sophic is seeking a seasoned Web Developer based in Denver, Colorado or Wilmington, North Carolina who is highly knowledgeable of modern web development and search engine marketing best practices and has an high level of experience with implementing and customizing WordPress. Very well-qualified candidates will have excellent knowledge of PHP, HTML, and CSS, and experience with MySQL databases.

Responsibilities Include:
• Working and communicating directly with customers via phone, email and project management tools
• Implement, customize and launch Wordpress-based websites
• Perform best practices search engine optimization for customer websites

Requirements/Qualifications:
• 2-3 years at an established web development shop or in a web development position working with PHP coded websites
• Strong understanding of PHP and MySQL
• Strong Photoshop Skills
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lead a project and work with limited supervision while still meeting project deadlines

• Experience with 37Signals tools: Basecamp, Highrise & Campfire
